I decided to check out some of the Appraisers in my area and a couple out of area and what I discovered really "AMAZED" me.

A friend of mine and myself took a classic vehicle to 4 different Car Appraisers and had them appraise it. Their cost was from $20.00 to $50.00. What you got for that was a piece of paper with their "Letterhead" on it and a brief description of the vehicle they were looking at.

The clasic car appraisal consisted of "Year, Make, Model, Vin number and Mileage on vehicle and condition of vehicle, with notes on Color, Type of Interior, Engine, Transmission Type and Wheels and Tires".

That was about the extent of the Appraisal, (I guess you get what you pay for), The Car Appraiser's all stated that this was all I needed to get Insurance for the vehicle and any Attorney would use it for Bankrupcies, Estate/Will settlement and Divorce settlements.

By the way none of the Automotive Appraisals were consistant and did not reflect the actual worth of the vehicle.
