Bio for Jack Cooper


Just a quick note on who I am and how Carfacts was born... My name is Jack Cooper and I was/still a Master ASE Certified Automobile Tech. for 30 years, prior to that I was a Heavy Equipment Mechanic in the Army and later a Helicopter Mechanic and Crew Chief on the old H 34 (banana) and Huey Choppers during the VietNam era and for the past 11-12 years have been an aftermarket Automotive Warranty Inspector and Adjuster for Factory and Aftermarket Automotive Warranty companies.

I do all types of after market automotive inspections on cars, trucks, ATV's, boats etc. I also do BBB automotive inspections, expert witness in arbritrations, pre purchase automotive inspections, and automotive appraisals on all types of vehicles from Hot Rods to Vintage vehicles.

Since being in the automotive field as a Tech. (Mechanic) and automotive adjuster and automotive inspector, I thought I would start a site to inform "YOU" on carfacts and how to purchase a New or Used vehicle, find a good repair shop, what to do to keep from being ripped off, what to do if you do get ripped off, and how to purchase an Automobile Warranty package with a little more confidence.

I feel with my experience in all fields of Auto repair, from being a tech, shop owner, automotive inspector/automotive appraiser/automotive adjuster and customer, I can help you through the process of picking the right shop, warranty program, car apprasial and buying a new or used vehicle.

On the personal side I am married (42 years) have 2 grown children (son and daughter) and eight wonderful Grandchildren, 6 boys and 2 girls, ranging from 17 years old to 1 year old.

I love cars and racing, it's been in my blood since childhood and is as strong today as it was when I was a young pup out to set the world on it's heel.

I love country music, classic rock (50's-60's). I enjoy working on/building web sites and trying to help in several Automotive forums and visitors who have questions that visit my sites.
