Denny Hamlin Wins Darlington.
Denny Hamlin won the Busch race at Darlington and took the Virginia Tech flag on a victory lap before taking the checkerd flag in a tribute to the students that were killed at the University. Hamlin was wanting a long green run as his car worked better on long runs and he had a mirror full of Mark Martin, driving the Hendrick #5 Chevrolet. Instead of the long run he wanted there were 4 cautions and a red flug in the remaining 34 laps of the race. After finally getting Kevin Harvicks car driven by Bobby Lebonte loaded on a wrecker, reason for red flag, Hamlin held off Mark Martin who settled in for second folled by Carl Edwards, Jeff Burton and Jason Leffler. There will be plenty of Darlington stripes to pass out Saturday night when the COT takes to the track in the Cup race.
